Although more than half a stop slower, this bijou f3.2 Gnome is in every respect superior to the Isco-branded plastic-barrel Gnome Projar 85mm f2.3. Its near-field performance doesn’t quite deserve a Bronze award, but it’s relatively even framewide rendition and civilised drawing style (surprisingly similar to the Colorplans) just tip the balance.
