Komuranon-S 50/3.5
Japanese enlarger lens (late 4-layer multicoated model). Retail price in 1980 was 375 francs.
16:9 –
The later Komuranon-S range was sold alongside the original Komuranon-E by some US retailers from at least 1977 to 1979. Production of the -E models evidently ceded during this period to the newer model (likely identical apart from coatings) until it disappears from view commercially in 1984. Komura’s -S range didn’t attract the same level of dealer support or buyer popularity enjoyed by the first generation Komuranons, as the market tightened around Schneider, Rodenstock and Nikon. Fewer examples of the later lenses are seen today – all of which have 7xxxxxx serial numbers.
