   Vivitar VHE lenses remained on the market until at least 1985, where they offered persuasive value. In November that year, your choice of 80/5.6 lenses was between the current Componon-S and Rodagon with a US street price of $70; the EL-Nikkor at a premium $90, or the Vivitar VHE was less than $40 – not bad for a repackaged new/old stock ten-year-old Componon.
